4.3 million TCB cards were canceled. Due to inconsistencies discovered in 4.3 million Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) cards, these cards were terminated. These anomalies were discovered during the conversion of handwritten cards to smart family cards.
4.3 million TCB cards. Because of numerous complexities, it has not yet been able to convert all cards to smart cards, hence TCB items are still given with the old cards.
Humayun Kabir, TCB spokesperson, provided these findings at a press conference held at the TCB regional office in Tejgaon on Saturday, November 9.
He claimed that after validating each family’s details with their national ID, it was discovered that some people were receiving benefits from various places. Due to the lack of local administration or representation, it has also been difficult to effectively check whether products are reaching consumers.
TCB will sell five products throughout Ramadan: oil, sugar, chickpeas, dates, and lentils. Outside of city corporations, four things (excluding dates) will be offered. Furthermore, over 24,000 individuals will be able to purchase products from 70 locations in and around Dhaka via trucks, with each truck serving 350 people.
