A university student was shot dead in broad daylight in Khulna. Criminals shot and killed a student at Khulna University. The event took at around 9:30 p.m. on Friday night in Khulna’s Tetlutala neighborhood.
A university student was shot: Arnab Kumar Sarker (26), a student, passed away. He was the son of Nitish Chandra Sarker, who lived on Abu Ahmed Road in Sonadanga, Khulna.
Arnab was a master’s student in the Business Administration Department at Khulna University. This was confirmed by Professor Sheikh Mahmudul Hasan, Head of the Business Administration Discipline.
According to eyewitnesses, Arnab was seated at a tea shop in front of Tetlutala Square tonight, resting against a motorcycle and drinking tea. At the time, a bunch of criminals approached on motorcycles and shot him before fleeing. The bullet penetrated Arnab’s head and then exited. Locals rescued him and took him to the private City Medical College Hospital, where physicians pronounced him deceased.
Md. Moniruzzaman, Deputy Commissioner (South) of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP), informed Prothom Alo that a student had been murdered by terrorist shooting. The causes and circumstances surrounding the murder are under investigation. An operation is underway to apprehend those engaged in the event.
