Bangladesh won the series after defeating Ireland in two (2) consecutive matches. The women’s team from Bangladesh defeated Ireland in two straight games to win the series with one game remaining. Nigar Sultana and her squad won the second ODI by five wickets following a commanding 154-run victory in the first.

Bangladesh won the series: Ireland batted first on Saturday, November 30, at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium, scoring 193 runs for six wickets. In an ODI match versus Bangladesh, this was their highest total.

With 68 runs off 88 balls, captain Amy Hunter led her team in scoring. Laura Delany added 33 runs, and Orla Prendergast scored 37. In 10 overs, Sultana Khatun claimed two wickets for 32 runs for Bangladesh. Bangladesh lost five wickets in route to reaching the winning total in 43.5 overs while chasing a target of 194 runs.

Farzana scored 50 runs off 89 balls, the highest total for the Tigresses. Jyoti produced a pivotal innings of 40 runs off 39 balls, while Supta scored 43 runs off 63 balls. Swarna finished with 29 runs off 29 balls and was still undefeated.

In women’s ODI cricket at Mirpur, this is the biggest run chase triumph. Bangladesh had previously triumphed over Pakistan while pursuing a 167-run mark. Bangladesh did, however, chase 225 runs in a match against India, but the game ended in a draw. Bangladesh won the series….
