Clash between Dhaka College and City College students. In the capital’s Science Lab, a fight broke out between Dhaka College and City College students. The altercation started this Wednesday at approximately 2:45 PM. Traffic in the Science Lab area consequently stopped, resulting in excruciating traffic on the nearby roads.
Clash between Dhaka College… Assistant Commissioner Shah Mostafa Tariquzzaman of the New Market Police district reported at approximately 3:30 PM that some Dhaka College and City College students got into a fight on Tuesday when they were trying to board a bus in the Science Lab area. Students from Dhaka College damaged City College’s property this morning in response.
Around 2:45 PM, City College students emerged onto the streets as word of the situation spread and made their way to the Science Lab area. Students from Dhaka College then emerged and gathered close to the Science Lab. At one point, bricks and stones were thrown at one other by both sides.
Several people were hurt in the altercation between the two parties, according to witnesses.
The roads around the Science Lab area are extremely congested due to the dispute. After arriving on the location, police and military troops are working to manage the situation. Tensions are still high, though.
