Gold, silver, and a total of 8 crore 21 lakh taka were found in the donation box of the Pagla Mosque. 29 bags from the contribution box (chest) of the old Pagla Mosque in Kishoregonj contained a total of 8 crore 21 lakh 34 thousand 304 taka. The entire amount of money donated was calculated when the counting was finished on Saturday night, November 30.
Gold, silver, and a total of 8 crore: Two Pagla Mosque trunks and nine contribution boxes (chests) were opened that morning. The final count was finished by the evening after the money count began and lasted throughout the day. Kishoreganj Superintendent of Police (SP) Muhammad Hasan Chowdhury, Kishoreganj District Commissioner (DC) and Pagla Mosque Management Committee President Fauzia Khan, as well as other members of the mosque management committee, were present during the count.
Rubel Mahmud, Kishoreganj’s Additional District Commissioner (General), Mizabe Rahmat, Additional District Magistrate, Mohammad Nahid Hasan Khan, Additional District Commissioner (Education and ICT), Md. Ershad Mia, Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) of Kishoreganj Sadar, Nazarat Deputy Collector (NDC) Rowshan Kabir, 75 employees of Rupali Bank, 285 madrasa students, 34 members of the mosque management committee, and 10 law enforcement personnel participated in the money count.
Additionally, nine administrative officers, ten army personnel, sixteen police officers, and nine Ansar members were in charge of general supervision and security.
Every three months, the Pagla Mosque’s donation box (chest) is usually opened. But after three months and fourteen days, it was opened this time. On August 17 of current year, the donation box (chest) was last opened, and a total of 7 crore 22 lakh 13 thousand 46 taka was counted. Few foreign currency were also discovered.
