ISKCON expresses mourning regarding the murder of lawyer Saiful. Leading Chattogram lawyer Saiful Islam Alif passed away, and the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) has offered its condolences. ISKCON expressed its sorrow in a statement signed by Charu Chandra Das Brahmachari, General Secretary, and released on Tuesday, November 26.

“We implore the appropriate authorities to guarantee that the offenders responsible for this heinous act receive excellent punishment. To protect the rule of law, justice, and human values, strong action against such offenses is essential.

Nevertheless, the campaign against ISKCON is still going strong in spite of this message of sympathy. Protests are being held across by a number of districts, upazilas, schools, colleges, institutions, and political parties, demanding that ISKCON be banned and that justice be done for this heinous crime.
The greatest protest gathering in recent memory was organized by the Chattogram Metropolitan Chhatra Shibir, who demanded punishment for the murder and the banning of ISKCON, which they described as a terrorist organization. Other political parties have also participated in protests in an effort to get a fair probe into the murder.
The fact that ISKCON is a Hindu religious organization that adheres to the Gaudiya Vaishnavism tradition is notable. It was established by A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in New York City in 1966.
