Around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 5, Rizvi was observed performing this act in front of the National Press Club at a gathering called “Be Proud by Buying Local Products.” Members and supporters of his party were with him.

“The government of Bangladesh made the right decision in suspending Indian visas,” Rizvi stated. Even if we are only able to eat once a day, we will not give up.
“India likes Sheikh Hasina, who has been involved in disappearances, killings, and shedding the blood of students on the streets, but it does not care about Bangladesh,” said the Senior Joint Secretary General of the BNP.
Rizvi issued a warning, saying, “India has oppressed numerous communities that want independence within its borders. Don’t try to do the same with Bangladesh, though.
