According to Indian media site Anandabazar Patrika, a 2010 article claimed that Aishwarya Rai had “stomach tuberculosis,” preventing her from becoming a mother. This news infuriated Amitabh Bachchan, who wondered how such sensitive details about his family could be written about.
At the time, Amitabh Bachchan maintained a blog. Regarding this occurrence, the Shahenshah stated, “I am writing now with considerable dissatisfaction, rage, and grief. “This report is entirely false, baseless, and insensitive.” But he did not stop there. He made it clear that if anything unpleasant was spoken about Aishwarya, he would not stay silent.
Amitabh wrote: “I am the head of this household. Aishwarya is more than just a daughter-in-law; she is my daughter. Most significantly, she is a woman from my family. If someone makes disparaging remarks about her, I will battle until my last breath. I may tolerate comments about the guys in my family, such as myself or Abhishek, but I will not tolerate anyone pointing fingers at the women in my home.”
