Safa, Toya, Tisha, and Sunidhi: Behind their acting careers, they are dangerous drug dealers. Evidence has arisen associating popular people in the country’s entertainment business, including Safa Kabir, Mumtahina Chowdhury Toya, Tanzin Tisha, and vocalist Sunidhi Nayek, to drug purchases. A student detained on drug-related charges had evidence of their involvement with drugs on his phone.
Safa, Toya, Tisha, and Sunidhi: Arindam Roy Deep, a former North South University student, was arrested at Dhaka Airport on October 17 on drug-related accusations. He apparently sold drugs on a regular basis using a specific WhatsApp group.
There is clear evidence in Deep’s WhatsApp group of regular drug orders placed from numbers saved under the names of certain well-known figures in the theatrical industry. These celebrities are said to use a variety of substances, including shisha, MDMA, LSD, and Kush. The Department of Narcotics Control is undertaking a specific inquiry into their narcotics activities. The Ministry of Home Affairs’ senior officials have already received a report on this problem.
The Narcotics Department stated that Deep, a former North South University marketing student, was placed under special observation due to drug-related suspicions. He was apprehended on October 17 at Dhaka Airport after being monitored for some time. He was arrested with a considerable number of drugs in his possession, including shisha, MDMA, LSD, and Kush. Later, a Narcotics specialist team detained Deep for two days to interrogate him.
The investigating officer, Rahul Sen, Assistant Director of Narcotics, informed the media, “After Deep was arrested, we discovered evidence of drug involvement by several top-tier actresses and models.” The investigation is underway. Legal action will be taken against individuals responsible once the inquiry is completed.
Investigators revealed that during Deep’s verbal confession about his involvement in narcotics peddling, his mobile phone call logs and WhatsApp messages were analyzed. This resulted in evidence of drug use by several popular actresses.
They also discovered WhatsApp chat records pertaining to drug orders conducted on behalf of these individuals.
According to an officer, there was proof in Deep’s WhatsApp group of regular drug orders being placed from multiple numbers kept under the identities Safa, Toya, Tisha, and Sunidhi Nayek. Phone registration records were then acquired to validate these numbers. It was discovered that the numbers in issue were registered under the identities Safa Kabir and Toya. However, Tanzin Tisha’s phone number was registered in the name of her mother, Umme Salma.
According to chat data, on April 23, Safa Kabir ordered three MDMA pills from her mobile number. In a quick WhatsApp message to Deep, she asked, “Can you give me 3 ‘E’?” Deep said, “Hold on, I’ll check.” Safa replied, “Okay.” Then Deep inquired, “How will you handle it? “On your way?” Safa said, “I’ll try.”
On September 5, actress Toya also ordered drugs in a coded message, stating, “Need 5 ‘E’.” Deep responded, writing, “For the Bangla Fruit?” (relating to a recent private gathering at Cox’s Bazar). Toya responded, “Yap (yes).”
The WhatsApp group used for drug distribution also includes discussions from other actresses and singers. Among them are actress Tanzin Tisha and singer Sunidhi Nayek. Sunidhi Nayek used the chats to share photographs of MDMA packages from various manufacturers and place her orders.
According to officials, these medications are offered under a variety of coded identities to ensure confidentiality. For example, MDMA is known to as “E,” LSD as “Acid,” and a sort of liquid cannabis is marketed as “TSC.” Liquid cannabis is vaporized, similar to an electronic cigarette.
According to narcotics officials, Sunidhi Nayek, an Indian national, has a long history of drug addiction. She married famed Bangladeshi singer and one of Coke Studio’s founders, Shayan Chowdhury, also known as Arnob, and now lives permanently in Dhaka. However, numerous media outlets have stated that she and Arnob had just separated. Investigators discovered that, immediately following Deep’s arrest, some people sought to remove their private conversation logs from their mobile phones. However, they did not achieve complete success. Following the arrest, Deep’s mobile phone’s internet connection was promptly terminated, preventing the drug-related chat data from being deleted.
