There are no plans to allow the Pakistani military to enter Bangladesh. The interim government of Bangladesh has refuted speculations of strengthening ties with Pakistan, stressing that the country aspires to maintain good relations with all SAARC member countries and is working toward that end.
There are no plans to allow: In an exclusive interview with CNN-News18, Muhammad Yunus’ press secretary, Shafiqul Alam, stated that “Yunus wants the revitalization of SAARC and good relations with all countries, including Pakistan.” However, there are no preparations to allow the Pakistani military into Bangladesh.
According to Shafiqul Alam, the Bangladesh government has revoked former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s passport and written a notice to India asking her extradition. Regarding Chinmoy Krishna Das’ bail, Alam stated, “The government of Bangladesh has restored the independence of the judiciary, and he will receive a fair trial.”
When pressed, Alam responded: “Sheikh Hasina has only promoted her father, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, but many other individuals have contributed to the history of the country.”
