The Wall Street Journal’s pre-election allegations of a purported phone call between Musk and Putin were rejected by Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov as “false information.” The two had only ever spoken once before, he claimed.
“They spoke over the phone prior to 2022, and they talked about Russia’s scientific progress and possible future developments,” Peskov said. All of the other accusations are untrue, and Musk and Putin have not communicated since.
