Over 20,000 expats were arrested in Saudi Arabia in a single week. Over 20,000 illegal expatriates and those affiliated with them have been arrested in Saudi Arabia over the last week. The country’s Interior Ministry announced this on Saturday, November 9. From October 31 to November 6, various government agencies conducted raids and made arrests.
Over 20000 expats were arrested. The ministry claimed that 11,523 people were arrested for violating residency laws, 5,711 for violating border security regulations, and 3,544 for violating labor laws.

According to officials, 1,569 people were caught while attempting to enter Saudi Arabia, with 24% being Yemeni nationals, 73% Ethiopians, and the rest from other countries. Furthermore, 63 persons were apprehended attempting to flee Saudi Arabia illegally. Fifteen people were arrested for transporting, harboring, or employing illegal residents.
According to the Saudi government, 12,138 people have been dispatched to their respective diplomatic offices to acquire travel passports, while 3,128 people are making plans to travel. So far, 9,254 lawbreakers have been removed from the country. Over 20000 expats were arrested.
The government has warned that individuals found guilty of transporting, housing, or assisting illegal residents face up to 15 years in prison, fines of up to 1 million Saudi Riyals, and confiscation of any cars or property used in the act.
