Atif Aslam, a well-known singer from Pakistan, recently gave a performance in Dhaka. The well-known Pakistani band “Jal” was also spotted playing in Dhaka. The band “Kavish” is scheduled to play in the city soon. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan: Rahat Fateh Ali Khan will play at the “Echoes of Revolution” charity event at the Army Stadium in the capital on Saturday, December 21. The Shaheed July Smriti Foundation will receive the concert’s revenues in order to aid the families of those slain and wounded during the July popular uprising.

This information was presented at a news conference hosted by Spirits of July on Friday, November 29, at 4 p.m. at Dhaka University’s Madhu’s Cantine.

According to the press conference’s written statement, “A group of Dhaka University (DU) students are planning a charity concert called ‘Echoes of Revolution’ on December 21 (Saturday) through a platform called ‘Spirits of July’ in order to support the families of those killed and injured in the July-August popular movement. We want to stand behind the families of those murdered or injured in the movement, thus all revenues from our event will go toward helping them.”

According to the written announcement, world-famous singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan will be the concert’s primary feature and will perform for free. According to the statement, “‘Spirits of July’ inked a contract with him on Thursday, November 28. He has agreed under this contract to play at our event for free, so his performance fee will also go to the relatives of the murdered and injured.

Rappers Sejan and Hannan, as well as local bands Artcell, Chirkut, Ashes, and Aftermath, will perform at the concert for a little price, according to the written announcement.

The announcement also mentioned that on November 12, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with the Shaheed July Smriti charity for the donation of concert revenues to the charity.
