Ten poets and writers will get the Bangla Academy Literary Award in 2024. The prize was announced on January 23 with the permission of the Bangla Academy’s Executive Council, as per a notification issued by Director General Prof Mohammad Azam.
Ten poets and writers will:Â The Bangla Academy Literary Award 2024 was approved by the Executive Council of the Bangla Academy based on the proposal of the Bangla Academy Literary Award Proposal Committee and the decision of the Bangla Academy Literary Award Committee 2024.
The Bangla Academy Literary Award 2024 winners are Masud Khan for poetry, Selim Morshed for fiction, Shubhashis Sinha for drama and drama, Salimullah Khan for essay/prose, Faruk Nawaz for children’s literature, GH Habib for translation, Muhammad Shahjahan Mia for research, Rezaur Rahman for science, Mohammad Hannan for Liberation War, and Syed Jamil Ahmed for folklore.
Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the interim government’s chief adviser, will formally present the honor during the Amar Ekushey Book Fair 2025, which is conducted by the Bangla Academy.
