Argentine President Javier Milei and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni are expected to attend. Vice President Han Zheng of China will represent President Xi Jinping at the swearing-in ceremony.
According to the US State Department, no foreign leader has ever attended a US power transfer ceremony. In that light, this inauguration is expected to be an unusual occurrence.
