Saudi Crown Prince’s Call on Israel. According to Al Jazeera, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman made these remarks on Monday, November 11, during the joint OIC conference in Riyadh. In his statement to the Arab League and OIC summit, the Crown Prince denounced the “genocide committed against the people of Palestine and Lebanon.”
He described Israeli forces’ actions in the territory as “genocide,” and demanded that the international community intervene to put an end to Israel’s operations against “our brothers in Gaza and Lebanon.” He also urged countries throughout the world to recognize the Palestinian state and pressure Israel to stop further attacks.
The meeting was attended by prominent Arab League and OIC officials, including Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Turkish President Recep Tayyip ErdoÄŸan, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Nigerian President Bola Tinubu, and Lebanese President Najib Mikati.
However, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian did not attend the event. During a phone contact with Crown Prince Salman, he informed him that Iran’s First Vice President, Mohammad Reza Aref, would represent the country.
