The price of soybean oil

The price of soybean oil increased by 8 taka per liter. The government has declared an increase in the price of soybean oil amid the country’s ongoing market problems. Soybean oil in bottles and loose has increased in price by 8 taka per liter.

The price of soybean oil: This information was given in the Secretariat on Monday, December 9, by Trade Advisor Sheikh Bashir Uddin after a discussion with traders about edible oil prices.

According to the Trade Advisor, bottled soybean oil now costs 175 taka per liter, an 8-taka increase. However, the cost of loose soybean oil has increased by 8 takas, and it is currently priced at 157 taka per liter.

He went on to say that growing prices in the global market had resulted in a shortage of supply. This has led to a domestic increase in the price of edible oil. Sheikh Bashir Uddin added that there had been indications of traders stockpiling.

In the meantime, bottled soybean oil was scarce in the capital’s marketplaces even prior to the government’s announcement of the price increase. When it is still available, it is being offered with restrictions and at higher prices. It has all but vanished. Ordinary folks are suffering since it is nearly impossible to find bottled soybean oil in one to two-liter amounts from different manufacturers.

Edible oil refining companies have not been selling bottled soybean oil for more than a week, according to reports from retail and wholesale dealers. Just one or two of them are supplying, but their quantity is significantly less than what is needed.
