A second-grade child was raped in Gaibandha. Police have arrested a man named Bisha Sheikh (75) in connection with the rape of a second-grade child in Gaibandha. He was arrested from Harichandipur village in Phulchhari upazila on Monday afternoon.
A second-grade child: The deceased is Mofazzel Hossain, son of Abdul Jabbar of the village. Earlier, the rape incident took place at 2 pm on Monday.
Confirming the matter, Fulchhari police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Khandaker Hafizur Rahman said the boy was a second-grade student of a local madrasa. In the afternoon, Bisha Sheikh called the child to eat corn. He then raped the child. Locals and family members immediately informed the police. Upon receiving information, police reached the spot and arrested him.
During interrogation, the accused confessed to raping her, he added. The child’s family has filed a case with the police. The boy is currently in the custody of his parents. The child was sent to Sadar Hospital for medical examination. Meanwhile, the accused has been sent to judicial custody.
