A Shachchha shabok Dal activist was hacked to death after being called from his house. Abu Saeed (30), a Shachchha shabok Dal activist and sand seller from Bogura, was hacked to death after being called out of his home. The incident took place late Friday night in Nishindara Westpara, the town.

 

A Shachchha shabok Dal activist :  On Saturday morning, Inspector (Investigation) AKM Moin Uddin from the Sadar Police Station revealed this information.

 

According to authorities and family members, Abu Saeed, who was brutally murdered, was the son of Yusuf Ali from Nishindara Westpara in Bogura town. He was involved in the sand trade. Around midnight on Friday, someone called him from his house on his mobile phone. He left the house while conversing on the phone. Shortly afterwards, unidentified assailants attacked him with sharp weapons, seriously injuring him.

 

Locals noticed the occurrence and brought him to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College (SZMC) Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

 

The victim’s cousin, Nesar Uddin, reported that Abu Saeed was a Volunteer League activist who worked as a sand contractor. He claimed that miscreants called his brother out of the house and hacked him to death. The motive for the murder and the identity of those involved were not immediately ascertained.

 

According to neighbors, Sadar Police Station Inspector (Investigation) AKM Moin Uddin stated that Saeed had a fight with rivals over watching a video on his cell phone. This conflict could have led to his murder.

 

He added that an inquiry is underway to discover the actual reason of the murder and identify those responsible. The body has been transferred to the morgue at Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College (SZMC) Hospital.
