Taskin was named to the ODI Team of the Year, with no Indian or Australian players chosen. The year 2024 has come to its close. ESPNcricinfo, a popular cricket-focused website, has announced the ODI Team of the Year based on player performance throughout the year. This prestigious lineup includes Bangladesh’s bowler Taskin Ahmed.
Taskin was named to the ODI:Â ESPNcricinfo’s ODI Team of the Year includes only one Bangladeshi cricketer, Taskin. Surprisingly, no Indian or Australian players made the list. Along with Taskin, the team features four Sri Lankans, three Afghans, and one each from Pakistan, the West Indies, and England.
In 2024, Taskin Ahmed excelled in both Test and One-Day International forms. Taskin played seven ODIs, taking 14 wickets at an average of 23.9. This outstanding effort earned the Tiger pacer a place on ESPNcricinfo’s ODI Team of the Year.
The ODI Team of the Year includes Pathum Nissanka, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Liam Livingstone, Kusal Mendis, Charith Asalanka, Sherfane Rutherford, Azmatullah Omarzai, Mohammad Nabi, Wanindu Hasaranga, Taskin Ahmed, and Haris Rauf.
