A BNP leader declared that saying Ziaur Rahman’s name every day ensures paradise. Kamrul Huda, the joint convener of the BNP’s Comilla South district and president of the Chouddagram upazila branch, stated that naming Ziaur Rahman, the BNP’s founder, on a daily basis guaranteed paradise.
A BNP leader declared that :Â He made the comment today, Wednesday afternoon, at the Student League’s anniversary celebration at the central Eidgah grounds in Chouddagram upazila. His statement has already gone viral on Facebook and other social media platforms, causing a firestorm of condemnation.
In the viral speech, Kamrul Huda was heard saying, “If you mention the name of the martyred president Ziaur Rahman every day, I believe paradise is guaranteed.” Because he did not act irresponsibly toward the people of the country.”
Kamrul Huda criticized the outgoing Awami League government, saying, “Sheikh Selim, Sheikh Helal, and this Sheikh family have stolen and wrecked the country. Nobody in the Sheikh family is a freedom warrior. How can the Awami League, a Liberation War party, claim to be a liberation warrior without actually participating in the war? Following the 1996 elections, many members of the Awami League applied to be freedom fighters. Sheikh Hasina escaped with 350 ministers and parliamentarians.”
Criticizing local Jamaat officials and activists, he stated, “There was a party (Jamaat) that supported us. They had experienced power by relying on us in the past. The residents of Chauddagram know how many votes they received.” He directed the leaders and activists to prepare 200 tiny sticks for each polling station in the upcoming elections.
Several party leaders, who sought anonymity, asked, “Can any Muslim make such a statement?” We are astounded by his words. This is what occurs when someone attempts to portray too much emotion for the party. The event was held near a mosque, and when it was time for Zohr prayer, he (Kamrul Huda) requested that the muezzin issue the call to prayer without using the microphone. The event continued without a pause, eliciting criticism.”
BNP leader Kamrul Huda confessed making such a speech during the gathering. He stated, “Ziaur Rahman had planted several neem trees in Mecca for the convenience of Hajj pilgrims.” As a result, if his name is taken, can anyone go to heaven? Is what I said wrong?
