A bus owner was hacked to death in Dhaka. A bus owner was hacked to death in Mohammadpur, Dhaka. The incident occurred at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday (December 25) in the Shia Mosque area, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Adabor police station.
A bus owner was hacked: The deceased’s name was Mohammad Swapan. He owned a bus that ran on the Mohammadpur to Uttara route for the Bhuiyan Paribahan firm. He and his family lived in Mohammadpur’s Dhaka Udyan neighborhood.
Locals claim that the deceased, Swapan’s bus driver, Sohel, sold one of the bus’ tires. This resulted in a conflict between Swapan and Sohel. In the evening, Sohel hacked Swapan near the Shia Mosque. Swapan was injured and carried to a hospital by locals, where doctors proclaimed him dead.
Regarding the incident, Adabor police station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC), SM Zakaria, stated, “We received reports that a man named Swapan had been hacked to death in the Shia Mosque area in the evening. The cops have responded to the scene. We are examining the incident, and if the family files any complaints, we will take quick legal action.
