The police have arrested Amir Hossain Amu, a former minister and member of the Awami League’s advisory council. He was apprehended at a house in West Dhanmondi at 1:30 PM today, Wednesday.
He’s arrest has been verified by Muhammad Talebur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner of Media and Public Relations for the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). He stated that he is facing 15 cases, including murder allegations. He served as the 14-party alliance’s coordinator.
Meanwhile, Awami League officials and activists have condemned and opposed the arrest of public leader Amir Hossain Amu, describing it as a bogus and conspiracy case.
