An Islamic party has been looting banks since August 5. Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Senior Joint Secretary General of the BNP, stated that the Awami League looted banks prior to August 5, and that an Islamic party took control of the banks after that day.
An Islamic party has been looting: He made the statement to media on Sunday (December 29) after visiting the burial of BNP founder and late President Ziaur Rahman at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital.
At the time, he also stated that during Sheikh Hasina’s reign, S. Alam seized charge, and that many others have since taken over the banks as their successors. They make sweeping remarks that undermine the BNP’s reputation. A specific faction has seized control of neighborhoods, terminals, tenders, and other facilities.
Rizvi stated that since August 5, the public has witnessed embezzlement by a political party. The public is aware of who severs tendons. Those who opposed the Liberation War of 1971 are attempting to fish in dangerous waters. Not only are neighboring countries spreading propaganda, but a few political groups within the country are also attempting to take advantage of the situation. He went on to say that individuals who opposed the 1971 Liberation War attempted to fish in turbulent waters.
Rizvi remarked that the July Revolution was the consequence of 16 years of continuous struggle. During this revolution, 97 working-class people gave their life. He stated that their contribution has energized the entire country.
He went on to say, “You engage in politics using Islam.” But Islam does not include continuously engaging in hypocrisy.” Rizvi highlighted that the BNP has never wavered from its commitment to the people. From 1971 to August 5, the BNP never lowered its head on the issue of democracy.
Rizvi claimed that the Jamaat wants to pardon Sheikh Hasina in order to improve its relations with India.
