BNP Chairperson’s Press Wing official, Shairul Kabir Khan, has announced that the party will hold a program on February 17 and 18 towards Teesta, demanding a fair share of water from the common river.
BNP announces program: On Tuesday (February 11), he stated that BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir would inaugurate the program in Gaibandha. Meanwhile, the party’s acting chairman, Tarique Rahman, will deliver a speech at the concluding event near the Lalmonirhat border.
Additionally, BNP has announced nationwide meetings and rallies to address various public demands, including keeping the prices of essential commodities at a reasonable level.
Earlier, in an official press release on Monday, the party stated that from February 12 until the beginning of Ramadan, BNP will hold district and metropolitan meetings and rallies across the country. The demands include controlling the rising prices of essential goods, improving the deteriorating law and order situation, announcing an electoral roadmap for swift democratic transition, and countering various conspiracies of the prevailing fascism in the state.
