Clash between two groups at the central office of anti-discrimination activists, 7 injured including women. Two groups got into a fight at the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement’s main headquarters in Rupayan Center, Banglamotor, Dhaka. The incident injured a number of pupils, including females.

 

Clash between two groups at the central : The incident happened on Tuesday, January 21, at approximately 4:30 PM. After being saved, the injured were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital’s emergency room (DMCH).

 

The seven injured people have been identified by name. They are Masud (24) from Demra Boro Madrasa, Imran Sarkar (21) from East West University, Jannatul Mim (22) from Tejgaon College, Abrar (22), Al Amin (25), Afsar Uddin (25), and Asif (24) from Kabi Nazrul College.

 

Al Amin, who was hurt in the incident, stated: “The coordinators from the Jatrabari zone had a discussion meeting.” One of our fellow activists was assaulted in front of the coordinators during the meeting.

 

They attacked us later when we went to the central office to talk about the issue, led by Hridoy, Rifat Rashid, and Naeem Asad Bin Rony. Several of our fellow activists suffered severe injuries as a result, and they are currently undergoing treatment at DMCH,” Al Amin stated.

 

Hasnat Abdullah, the convener of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, responded to a journalist’s inquiry over the event by saying, “I will find out more about the altercation.” I’ll talk to both groups.

 

“Then I will be able to provide more details on the matter,” he said.

 

He responded to another query by saying, “We will investigate, comprehend the circumstances, and then decide. This worries us, and we don’t want these kinds of things to occur.”
