I will fight for Sheikh Hasina

I will fight for Sheikh Hasina if given the chance: Z. I. Khan Panna. Z.I. Khan Panna has stated that he would like to represent Sheikh Hasina, the former prime minister, in court cases before the International Crimes Tribunal. He said, “If given the opportunity, I will stand for Sheikh Hasina.”

I will fight for Sheikh Hasina… During a press briefing on Thursday, November 21, he made this statement in response to a question about former Additional Attorney General Mehedi Hasan Chowdhury’s bail suspension.

“In the past, you have criticized various actions of Sheikh Hasina’s government,” a journalist asked during the briefing. You want to fight for her now. Doesn’t this go against your earlier position?

Z.I. Khan Panna replied, “It is paradoxical, of course. Nonetheless, everyone has the right to legal counsel. Given the humanitarian consideration, I have stated that I am willing to support Sheikh Hasina. Nevertheless, I continue to reject the death sentence as a form of retribution for any crime. I will fight for Sheikh Hasina.

He noted that there are now more mass instances than ever before, saying, “There were mass arrests before; today there are mass cases. Mass arrests will occur after mass cases. This also happened to me once. But now, the number of mass cases is unthinkable. This has never occurred before. The same script states that hundreds of people are being charged with these crimes despite reports of someone losing their leg, someone losing their sight, or someone being shot.

“The primary and sole responsibility of this interim government is to ensure a fair election,” he added in reference to the elections. They also need to democratically hand over power to the chosen administration. This government has a duty to secure a credible election, but it is not responsible for enacting reforms.
