India completed a test launch of a hypersonic missile. India has successfully launched its first hypersonic missile test. The missile was fired from Odisha’s Abdul Kalam Island yesterday, Saturday. In a statement released today, Sunday, Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh provided this information.
India completed a test…The hypersonic missile is a sophisticated weapon constructed using state-of-the-art technology. Compared to traditional ballistic missiles, these missiles are more difficult to detect since they can travel at extremely low altitudes within the atmosphere. They are also able to hit targets quickly and change direction in midair if needed.
Hypersonic missiles have already been tested by China, North Korea, Russia, and the United States. India has now been included to this list. “India has achieved a significant milestone with the successful test launch of the long-range hypersonic missile,” Rajnath Singh said in a statement today.
China displayed its cutting-edge weapons during an exhibition a few days ago. The stealth-capable J-35A fighter jet and many kinds of attack-oriented drones were among the weapons on exhibit. China also debuted the HQ-19 missile system, which is intended to eliminate ballistic missiles and hypersonic aerial vehicles, for the first time.
New Delhi and Western nations have increased their defense cooperation in recent years. Along with the US, Japan, and Australia, India is a member of the Quad alliance. India also purchases a lot of Russian arms. India has paid several billion dollars to Russia for the S-400 air defense system, despite the possibility of U.S. penalties.
