Robbery at Kashimpur Central Crematorium: Tarun Chandra Das (55), the late Kalipada Das’s son from the Alaiyapur Dhopapara neighborhood of Natore town, died. He’d been living in the crematorium temple for about two decades.
Satyanarayan Roy Tipu, General Secretary of the Mahashmashan Committee, confirmed the murder of caretaker Tarun. He added that on Saturday morning, members of the crematorium temple discovered Tarun’s body in the storage, his wrists and feet tied. Tarun had been the temple’s caretaker for the past 23 years. After getting the information, the police went to the scene.
Satyanarayan Roy Tipu stated, “The locks on the temple’s donation box and storeroom were broken, and the grill was cut.” The robbers most likely killed Tarun and stole the temple’s money, as well as brass and copper utensils.
Mahbubur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Natore Police Station, stated, “A body with hands and feet tied was recovered from the crematorium.” There is evidence of looting in the crematorium’s storehouse. It’s possible that the person was slain during a theft or robbery.
