The Army’s magistracy powers were extended for another two (2) months. The tenure of executive magistracy powers for officers of the Bangladesh Armed Forces with the rank of Captain or higher has been extended once again. The Ministry of Public Administration issued a statement on Sunday (January 12) to extend the powers for an additional two months.

 

The Army’s magistracy powers : According to the announcement, commissioned officers of the Bangladesh Armed Forces with the rank of Captain or higher have been awarded exceptional executive magistracy powers throughout the country. These powers have been granted for two months, beginning on January 14.

 

Previously, on November 15, their executive magistrate powers were extended for two months (60 days). That tenure is due to end on Tuesday (January 13).
