The body of a young man with his wrists and feet tied was discovered on Saint Martin’s beach. Police in Cox’s Bazar discovered the half-decomposed body of an unnamed young guy floating in the sea near Saint Martin’s Island in Teknaf. His wrists and ankles were tied.
The body of a young man: Mohammad Gias Uddin, Officer-in-Charge of the Teknaf Police Station, said that the body was found from the sea off Saint Martin’s Island’s northern shore around 12:30 PM on Thursday. He stated that the deceased was considered to be roughly 30 years old.
The Officer-in-Charge (OC) stated, “During high tide, neighbors observed a body floating in the sea near the northern beach area of Saint Martin’s Island and called the police. The police subsequently went to the scene and, with the assistance of locals, recovered the body.”
“The victim’s wrists and feet were bound behind. He wore slacks and a long-sleeved winter sweatshirt. There were various indicators of injury on his body. The body was enlarged, rotting, and producing a horrible odor, with the skin peeling away.”
The Officer-in-Charge (OC) stated, “The police do not know who committed the murder or why. It is believed that he was slain at least 4-5 days ago and his body was thrown into the water.”
He further stated that the body had been transported to the morgue of the Cox’s Bazar District Hospital for autopsy purposes. “The police are working to solve the mystery behind the incident,” Gias Uddin stated.
