The Chief Advisor has recommended the European Union shift its visa center from Delhi to Dhaka. Professor Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Advisor, asked European Union diplomats to move the EU countries’ visa centers from Delhi to Dhaka or another nearby nation. The meeting was held at the Chief Advisor’s office in Tejgaon, Dhaka, on Monday, December 9, at 12 PM.

 

The Chief Advisor has recommended: Michael Miller, the European Union’s Head of group to Bangladesh, led the 19-member group. Tawhid Hossain, the advisor for foreign affairs, attended the meeting with the chief advisor as well.

 

A total of fifteen representatives expressed their opinions during the roughly two-and-a-half-hour meeting. Human rights, trade benefits, labor rights, climate change, the International Crimes Tribunal Act, the repatriation of Rohingya, and shared commitments and measures to create a sustainable future were among the subjects discussed.

“We celebrate Victory throughout the entire month of December,” the Chief Advisor stated during the meeting. It gives me great pleasure to engage in such a lively conversation with you during this month of triumph.”

 

He pointed out that false information regarding Bangladesh is being disseminated widely. He said, “We seek your cooperation in countering this misinformation.”
