14 hospitals, including the Sheikh Hasina Burn Institute, changed their names.

The government renamed 14 hospitals and medical colleges, including the Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute in the capital. On Sunday, MA Akmal Hossain Azad, Senior Secretary of the Health Services Division, Administration-1 Branch of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, issued a notification with this information.

 

 

According to the announcement, 14 hospitals at the national and district levels have had their names changed to new ones.

Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute in the capital, now known as the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery; Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital in Faridpur, now known as Faridpur Medical College Hospital; Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Eye Hospital and Training Institute in Gopalganj, now known as Gopalganj Eye Hospital and Training Institute; Sheikh Hasina Medical College Hospital in Tangail, now known as Tangail Medical College Hospital; and Sheikh Russel National Gastroliver Institute and Hospital, now known as National Gastroliver Institute and Hospital.

The 250-bed Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib General Hospital in Sirajganj has been renamed Sirajganj 250-bed General Hospital; Sheikh Hasina Medical College in Jamalpur has been renamed Jamalpur Medical College; Sheikh Lutfar Rahman Dental College Hospital in Gopalganj has been renamed Gopalganj Dental College Hospital; Sheikh Sayera Khatun Medical College Hospital in Gopalganj has been renamed Gopalganj Medical College Hospital; and Sheikh Sayera Khatun Medical College Hospital in Gopalganj has been renamed Gopalganj Medical College Hospital.

Colonel Malek Medical College Hospital is now known as Manikganj Medical College; M. Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital in Dinajpur is now known as Dinajpur Medical College; the Shaheed Sheikh Abu Naser Specialized Hospital is now Khulna Specialized Hospital; and Bangabandhu (Daldia) Union Health Sub-Center in Kishoreganj is now known as Daldia Union Health Sub-Center.

 

According to the announcement, the President’s decree, which was made in the public interest, would take effect right away.
