They also urged the affected families to return home as soon as possible.
According to Pradeep Barman, the victim’s brother, “Although it has been a long time since the incident, none of the accused have been arrested yet.”
On August 5, following the fall of the Sheikh Hasina administration, former Rashidabad Union Parishad chairman Idris Mia led an attack, vandalism, and looting of Gita Rani Barman’s residence in Brahmankachuri village, Kishoreganj Sadar upazila. Gita Rani’s family fled their house in fear of their life, and they are still homeless, fearful of BNP officials and activists.

” The accused have threatened us in a variety of ways, including over the phone, and falsely implicated one of my sons, who is abroad, in another case. As a result, we were unable to enjoy our sacred festivals of Durga Puja and Kali Puja. We are still displaced and seeking refuge in someone else’s home. Our request to the administration is that we be let to return to our own home and live safely.
BNP leaders are involved. Participants in the human chain and protest warned of more severe protests if justice is not given quickly in this instance. Several speakers at the human chain sought punishment for the attacks and looting on Hindu houses around the country.
