A doctor was killed in the capital in a random stabbing.decision into effect. An arbitrary stabbing incident at a home in Dhanmondi, Dhaka, killed AKM Abdur Rashid, an 85-year-old expatriate doctor. Around 2:30 AM on Thursday, November 14, the event took place on the second floor of a five-story building in Dhanmondi-15.

A doctor was killed. When building residents discovered Abdur Rashid seriously hurt, they hurried him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where, at approximately 3:45 AM, medical professionals pronounced him dead.

Under the jurisdiction of the Hazaribagh police station, the deceased, Abdur Rashid, resided with his spouse on the second floor of his own building at 294/1, Dhanmondi-15. The building’s other floors were rented out. His family members are all living overseas. A doctor was killed.

We heard screams from the neighboring building and went downstairs to find the homeowner and his wife lying injured and covered in blood,” said Badhan, a student who drove Abdur Rashid to the hospital. We rushed to their aid and transported them to the medical facility. Following an inspection, the on-call physician pronounced him deceased.

“We didn’t see it,” Badhan said in response to questions about what had happened, how it happened, and who was to blame. But it’s thought that someone broke in from the outside. There, the couple lived alone. Abdur Rashid’s cries during the incident warned the neighbors. The criminals attacked and swiftly left when everyone began yelling.

The validity of the incident was verified by Inspector Mohammad Faruk, who oversees the police outpost at Dhaka Medical College Hospital. “The body of the deceased has been kept in the hospital morgue,” he stated. The concerned police station has been notified of the situation.

“Abdur Rashid and his wife lived on the second floor of their own house,” said Muhammad Saiful Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of the Hazaribagh Police Station. They were both physicians. Abdur Rashid was praying Tahajjud (night prayer) with the door open at around three in the morning yesterday night. Three young men with robbery intent entered the residence at that moment. The couple and the robbers engaged in a struggle. The bandits eventually stabbed Abdur Rashid and ran away. A doctor was killed.

The OC added, “Three people have been spotted on the CCTV footage taken around the residence and in the surrounding areas. However, the victim’s home was not broken into. To ascertain whether this was a robbery or whether the incident had a deliberate motivation, an investigation is still underway. To capture the three people captured on CCTV, the police are launching operations.

Additionally, he stated that Abdur Rashid’s wife is doing well and showed no symptoms of harm, thus she didn’t require hospitalization for medical care.
