A pregnant woman (3 months) was raped in Khulna. A three-month pregnant woman was raped by a miscreant in Khulna. The incident took place late at night in Asabur Nagar, Chakrakhali village, under Jalma Union of Batiaghata Upazila.
A pregnant woman: The victim is currently undergoing treatment at Khulna Medical College Hospital. The rapist is on the run following the incident.
Confirming the incident, Batiaghata Police Station Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) Monirul Islam said that on Monday night, the woman’s husband went fishing in a local canal, leaving his three-month pregnant wife alone at home. Taking advantage of the situation, a local man named Imran entered the house around 3 AM and raped her before fleeing.
In the morning, when the husband returned home after fishing, the victim informed him about the incident. She was then taken to the hospital for treatment. Later, her husband filed a case with the police station.
Since the incident, the perpetrator Imran has been missing. The victim’s husband also mentioned that he and Imran used to fish together.
