Bangladesh overcame Nepal by 5 wickets in today’s ‘B’ group match in Dubai, recording their second straight win. Sri Lanka defeated Afghanistan in another group match shortly after the Bangladesh-Nepal match concluded, guaranteeing Bangladesh’s place in the semifinals. Additionally, Sri Lanka guaranteed their spot in the last four with two straight victories. The day after tomorrow, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will compete for the top spot in the group.

In a mere 28.4 overs, Azizul Hakim’s squad exceeded the mark. With 52 runs today, the Bangladesh Under-19 captain, who had previously made a century against Afghanistan, was still undefeated. Azizul smashed three sixes and two fours in his innings of 72 balls. His partner, opener Zawad Abrar, went out for 59 runs in a partnership of 90 runs at the second wicket.
