Businessman killed by throat-slitting in Kuliarchar. A businessman named Ubaidul Haque Pilot was brutally killed by having his throat slit. His body was recovered from the Paschim Tarakandi area on Wednesday night.
Businessman killed by throat-slitting: Ubaidul Haque Pilot owned a rice shop in the Bajra Bus Stand area of the upazila. On Wednesday night, around 10 PM, he closed his shop and left for home on his motorcycle. However, assailants intercepted him in the Paschim Tarakandi area on the Bajrachar-Kamalpur road, slit his throat, and left his body there.
The deceased, Pilot, was the son of Jamal Mia from Bajra Mashimpur village. As of now, the police have not arrested anyone in connection with the murder.
Kuliarchar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Helal Uddin stated that the identity of the killers is still unknown, and the process of filing a case is underway.
