The police have found the bloodied body of a Chinese citizen in Uttara. The police have recovered the bloodied body of a Chinese citizen from a house in Uttara, the capital. Upon receiving information around 2:30 PM on Thursday, the body was recovered from a house on Road No. 16 in Sector 14 of Uttara. The deceased Chinese citizen has been identified as Wang Bu (37).
The police have found: Assistant Commissioner of Police (Uttara Zone) Md. Saddam Hossain told the media that the deceased Chinese citizen lived in the house with his colleagues. CCTV footage from the building shows two to three other Chinese nationals entering the house with Wang Bu. It is suspected that these individuals might have committed the murder after midnight on Wednesday.
He further stated that Wang Bu had moved into the house with his colleagues a month ago. He had been in Bangladesh for nine years, engaged in the stone business in partnership. The police suspect that after killing Wang Bu, his colleagues fled abroad.
According to police sources, CCTV footage captured two other Chinese nationals entering the house with Wang Bu. The footage also shows them leaving the building after some time. However, the police have not yet been able to identify the two individuals.
