Bangladesh exits the Hong Kong Super Sixes tournament: Bangladesh advanced to the semifinals because to Mohammad Saifuddin’s all-around performance. However, their dream of reaching the finals was not realized.

Just as in the quarter-finals, Jishan Islam’s bat produced plenty of runs today. The opener scored 36 runs in 11 balls, including five sixes. Another opener, Abdullah Al Mamun, scored 16 runs off four balls. Saifuddin, who was in excellent form, had begun to pour on the runs today as well, but he was stopped at 23 runs off 12 balls. Abu Haider also scored 18 runs off 6 balls in the late innings.
Tharindu Ratnayake of Sri Lanka claimed four wickets for 33 runs in two overs. Lahiru Samarakoon also picked up one wicket.
In response, the two Sri Lankan openers, Sandun and Viraakkodi, formed a powerful partnership of 58 runs from the outset. He scored 50 runs off 16 balls before retiring injured, hitting seven fours and three sixes. Dhananjaya Lakshan, the other opener, scored 24 runs off six balls.
