Businessman Missing for Three Days After Going Out to Buy Store Goods. A businessman from Nawabganj upazila in Dhaka has been missing for three days after leaving home to purchase goods for his store. His family is in distress as they have been unable to find him despite searching everywhere.
Businessman Missing for Three : The family filed a general diary (GD) at Nawabganj police station last Thursday regarding the incident. The missing person’s name is Bapon Banik (33), son of Bimal Banik and Geeta Banik from Mohabbatpur village in Bandura Union, Nawabganj. He owns a business establishment at Majhirkanda Bus Stand.
According to Bapon Banik’s wife, Priya Banik, he left home around 9 AM on Wednesday to buy supplies for his business in Dhaka. However, he did not return home by the evening or night. Worried, she tried calling his mobile phone, only to find it switched off. Despite searching and inquiring among relatives and acquaintances, there was no trace of him.
She added that on Thursday morning, Bapon Banik’s younger brother, Apon Banik, filed a GD at the local Nawabganj police station. “We are extremely worried. My husband is a businessman, and we have no specific suspicions against anyone. I just want my husband to return home safely,” she said.
Nawabganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mominul Islam stated that the GD did not mention any specific reason for his disappearance. However, the police have started their search and are hopeful of finding him soon.
The investigation officer, Sub-Inspector (SI) Mohammad Shafiqul Islam, assured that efforts are underway to locate the missing person as quickly as possible.
