Vinicius will join the Saudi Pro League during the next one or two years! Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, and Karim Benzema are all gone. Ronaldo is 39, Benzema 37, and Neymar 32. All three have joined the Saudi league in recent years. Ronaldo and Benzema are in the latter stages of their careers, while Neymar has also begun to suffer from injury-related decline. Still, it was odd that someone his age would join the Saudi league. This surprise could turn into shocking news if Vinicius Junior decides to quit European football for Saudi Arabia within the next one to two years.

Vinicius will join the Saudi:  If Saudi Pro League CEO Omar Mugarbel’s remarks are accurate, something similar could occur in the near future. In an interview with Spanish sports newspaper Marca, Mugarbel suggested that Vinicius Junior will soon be spotted in the Saudi Pro League.

Saudi Arabia has worked hard over the last few years to obtain European star footballers. This is part of their longer-term strategy.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s goal to make the nation a global sports hub includes an investment of £500 million (about 76,271 crore Bangladeshi Taka). The country has hosted a number of high-profile boxing fights and Formula One competitions. Newcastle United, an English Premier League club, is owned by Saudi Arabia’s state-owned Public Investment Fund. Saudi Arabia has also started the Men’s Professional LIV Golf Series. The country recently earned the rights to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup.

However, many people argue that Saudi Arabia’s tremendous spending in sports is a form of “sportswashing.” The oil-rich country is accused of wasting money on sports to distract from its human rights and environmental issues. This complaint is commonly leveled.

Anyway, recruiting Europe’s best players to the Saudi Pro League is also part of the goal. Ronaldo, Benzema, and Neymar have already signed, and there are murmurs regarding players over 30 like Mohamed Salah and Kevin De Bruyne, as well as younger stars like Kylian Mbappé and Vinícius. In his interview with Marca, Mugarbel made it obvious that this is no longer a dream. It is now only a matter of time and negotiation.

Vinícius, 24, is currently under contract with Real Madrid until 2027. His release clause (the amount that must be paid if another club wants to buy him despite Real Madrid’s objections) is 100 million euros. However, the cash amount is not a concern for Saudi Arabia. The country’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) has $930 billion in assets, making it one of the world’s largest state-owned institutions. In comparison, Vinícius’ release clause is insignificant. The biggest issue for Saudi Arabia is getting Vinícius to agree, rather than the money itself.

Mugarbel explained why Vinícius would agree, stating that global interest in our league has expanded dramatically. It is presently broadcast in 160 countries and may be viewed from anywhere on Earth. On social media, we use English, Portuguese, and Mandarin at the same time. Given the global popularity, we intend to expand this to many more languages.”

Cristiano Ronaldo is already the Saudi league’s biggest promoter. He has declared multiple times that the Saudi league is now superior to the French Ligue 1.

After all, the essential point is that Saudi clubs provide tremendous financial incentives. European clubs must operate within a salary cap imposed by their respective league administrations. As a result, even if they wanted to, they cannot pay extravagant compensation to players. There are no such restrictions in the Saudi league. Many elite European players aspire to the money that Ronaldo and Neymar supposedly earn in Saudi Arabia.
