Authorities found the bloodied body of a private car driver on the Hanif Flyover. Police have recovered the bloodied body of a private car driver from the Mayor Hanif Flyover in the Dholai Par area of Jatrabari, Dhaka.
The body was found today, Friday, about 6 a.m. The deceased has been identified as Sohel Mia, 38. He had disappeared on Thursday afternoon.
Police suspect that someone murdered Sohel and left his body on the flyover.. There are traces of injuries all over his body.
Sub-Inspector (SI) Mohammad Amir Hossain of Jatrabari Police Station stated that the police obtained the information
from the flyover’s security officers. Later, Jatrabari police retrieved the bloodied body. The sufferer sustained injuries to his
head, forehead, and right shoulder. His nose was also crushed. After confirming his identity, authorities took the body to Dhaka Medical College’s morgue for an autopsy.
According to family members, Sohel’s ancestral house is in the Naria Upazila of Shariatpur district. His father’s name is Moklesur Rahman. Sohel and his family lived in a leased house in the capital’s Sabujbagh neighborhood. His wife is Sharmin Sultana, and they have a son and a daughter.
Wife Sharmin Sultana stated that her husband Sohel drove his own car and picked up passengers for hire. On Thursday afternoon, he visited a garage in the Sabujbagh neighborhood for car repairs. with her spouse about 4 p.m.
After that, she contacted his cell phone but received no answer.
Following Sohel’s disappearance, she submitted a general
journal to the Sabujbagh Police Station.
