Protesters and police clashed in front of the Daily Prothom Alo office in Karwan Bazar, Dhaka, resulting in chases and counter-chases. A fight featuring chases and counter-chases between demonstrators and law officers occurred in front of the Daily Prothom Alo office in Karwan Bazar, Dhaka. The incident happened on Sunday, November 24, at approximately 6:30 p.m. Police fired sound grenades and tear gas shells to scatter the demonstrators during the altercation. Reports say that several individuals were held, and others were hurt.

Protesters and police clashed… The confrontation outdoors produced a tense and terrifying atmosphere, according to Prothom Alo workers. They said that throughout the incident, every employee stayed in the workplace.

Earlier today, demonstrators organized a “dual cattle sacrifice” program in front of the Prothom Alo headquarters in Karwan Bazar, Dhaka, as a symbolic protest against claimed Indian invasion. During the demonstration, they killed a black cow.

Prothom Alo and The Daily Star were accused by the demonstrators of supporting Indian aggression. They said that the meal would be prepared on-site and distributed to all, and that the feast was being arranged as a punishment for these outlets.

Previously, a group of demonstrators staged rallies in front of Prothom Alo’s and The Daily Star’s offices on Thursday and Friday (November 21 and 22). With the flag of “Bangladesh’s People,” the demonstrators also said Friday prayers outside the Daily Star headquarters.
